In the midst of this recession, we’re seeing a lot of trends one of them being consumers investing more than ever in their own gardens for produce to save money.
It makes sense as this is a way for consumers to save dollars and do something for the environment, especially if their garden is grown without pesticides.
Many companies are prospering because of this. Companies such as Scotts who makes gardening products and seed companies are able to capitalize and so are others. Anyone who makes a product that would contribute to building a produce garden and a green one would prosper in the economy.
Who else would?
Any company willing to creatively offer solutions for green thumbs will surely prosper if they make consumers aware of their greener solutions, especially if they are affordable. We are definitely seeing the affordable green trend kicking in in this economy as consumers have less dollars to spend. They are willing to spend more on certain products they believe in, but the fact remains they have less dollars to spend. If you are able to offer a solution that meets their values and at a price point they can afford, this is your opportunity.
Jack and Suzy Welch in a recent article indicated that the time is now to launch a company that offers someone a product for less. I add, especially if the product is green. Sure, you can make money on green, more expensive products, but right now you can make more on green products that are more affordable.
Make it your time to look at these trends and find a way to capitalize on them to pull ahead. Make consumers aware of your products and what you offer.
